We the trustees of Sudhagad Hitwardhini Sabha, an NGO based in Jambhulpada village, Raigad district of Maharashtra, make an honest appeal to you for your generous support to invest in the future of rural tribal children’s higher education. Our trust is operational since 1977 for improvement, development and progress of the most backward and neglected Katkari Adivasies & remote rural communities. We have introduced skill development activities and other health and livelihood promotional programs in more than 35 Tribal hamlets around Jambhulpada.
We are happy to announce that our dedicated efforts have impressed the Government of Maharashtra to entrust us the responsibility to start a JUNIOR COLLEGE (11th and 12th standard Commerce and Science courses) for high school pass-outs. In spite of scoring high percentage, most of the students of the area are unable to attend further education as the nearest junior college is about 20 kms away from the main Jambhulpada village. Travelling is expensive, bus services irregular and most hamlets are many kilometres away from the bus stops. Therefore, educated children either migrate for small jobs or land up as menial workers.
College Building Under Construction
Our trustees are well known educationists, social reformers and doctors & are deeply desirous that tribal and underprivilege children get a brighter future by adding college level education for better job openings. There is a need to construct a college building with classrooms, Principal and teachers’ rooms, toilets, drinking water facility, library, laboratories and auditorium etc. We appeal to your generosity to help us by contributing towards the college building fund. Whatever contribution you extend wholeheartedly towards this noble cause will undoubtedly be of great value towards construction of the college building. Well-wishers may sponsor the whole college building or part thereof e.g.; class room/s, laboratory/laboratories, auditorium, bus, furniture, library etc. in the name of their loved one! We will remain incredibly grateful to all our doners.
